Cattelan Italia

Cattelan Italia is an Italian furniture company founded in 1979 by Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan. It is based in Carrè, in the province of Vicenza, where its first factory was built in 1982.

Starting with marble

Giorgio Cattelan was the youngest of seven brothers, the son of a carpenter from Thiene. The company began by making tables, coffee tables and small accessories in which marble played a major role, aimed from the start at foreign markets.

The whole home

Over time production extended to other materials and other rooms: tables, chairs, sideboards and storage furniture, mirrors and accessories. In 2011 Cattelan Italia took over Arketipo, a Florentine maker of design upholstery, adding sofas and armchairs to its range. According to the company, its products are sold in more than 150 countries.
