Discipline

Discipline is an Italian design brand based in Milan, founded in 2012 by Renato Preti. Before Discipline, Preti had worked in finance and then in design, with experience at companies such as B&B Italia and Moooi.

The debut

The first collection was presented during the Milan Salone del Mobile in April 2012. It included copper stools by Max Lamb, a dining set with curved ash legs by Ichiro Iwasaki, stools with cork seats by Lars Beller and accessories by Klauser & Carpenter and Ding 3000.

Materials and designers

Discipline works with established and emerging designers, mostly non-Italian, including Mario Bellini and Philippe Nigro. From the start it chose natural, renewable materials: wood, cork, natural textiles and glass.
