&Tradition is a Danish furniture and lighting company based in Copenhagen. It was founded in 2010 by Martin Kornbek Hansen, who is still its CEO.

Between tradition and the present

The name sums up the company's idea: placing the tradition of Scandinavian design next to contemporary design. The range brings together reissues of pieces designed from the 1930s onwards, by designers such as Verner Panton and Viggo Boesen, and new products by today's designers such as Jaime Hayon, Space Copenhagen and Sami Kallio.

The products

Its best-known product is the Flowerpot lamp by Verner Panton, designer of the Panton Chair: designed in the late 1960s, it has been in the range since 2010 in pendant, floor, wall and portable versions. Among its most recognisable furniture are the Fly sofa by Space Copenhagen and the wooden In Between chairs by Sami Kallio.
