Varenna is an Italian kitchen brand founded in 1942. In 1996 it became part of the Poliform group, as its division devoted exclusively to kitchens.

From Varenna to Poliform

Since 2018 the kitchens no longer carry the Varenna name: they are made and sold under the single Poliform brand, which took over the models, the construction methods and the focus on customisation of Varenna kitchens.

Models and designers

The collections came from the work of outside designers and of the in-house research and development centre. Among the best-known models:

  • Phoenix, with geometric lines and no handles: in their place is a profile cut into the door;
  • Alea and Twelve, designed by the architect Paolo Piva, with slim profiles and rigorous forms, made to blend with the living room;
  • Artex, Matrix, My Planet and Kyton, modular systems that play on large volumes and combinations of materials;
  • Trail, designed by Carlo Colombo, inspired by professional kitchens, in wood and steel.
